Hope Lingers Where Logic Gives Up

Hope is that stubborn little bastard that shows up exactly when the spreadsheet says it shouldn’t. This piece is for the moments where logic has tapped out—hands in the air, facts exhausted—and somehow… you still keep going. Still believe.

It’s not naïveté. It’s survival. Hope isn’t weak—it’s the only thing flexible enough to slip past all your intellectual armour.

The tentacles creeping in from the edge? That’s what it feels like. Irrational. Uninvited. Sticky. But alive. This is the energy of trusting something unseen, unproven, maybe even a little dumb—but necessary.

Because at the end of the day, logic will leave you in the waiting room. Hope will take the back exit and break into the ICU. That’s what this piece says.

Technique:

As with all in this series, the line was born in a notebook—scrawled in the margin of an overthought plan. Built in Illustrator, I layered clean lines with disruptive colour to mimic the quiet audacity of hope when it refuses to leave.
