Dystopia
Created in the dead centre of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dystopia is a reflection of what the world felt like when everything stood stillābut not in a peaceful way. This isnāt a sci-fi fantasy. Itās what was real. Empty streets. Flickering screens. Fear soaked into the cracks of every routine.
The Latin phrase nullum reditus (āno returnā) became a mantra. Whether we wanted to admit it or not, something had shifted. Globally. Personally. Permanently. There would be recovery, but not a return.
The mirrored skyline hints at the illusion of stability, while the fractured, jagged buildings speak to the internal and external disarray we all tried to keep upright. Itās beautiful in that haunting, hollow wayālike nostalgia for a version of the world that only half-existed in the first place.

Designed entirely on an iPad Pro using Procreate, this piece was born in isolation, built layer by layer in silence, long before the world knew whenāor ifāit would get its rhythm back. The digital medium allowed for exploration without boundaries, perfectly mirroring the unhinged state of the world outside my window.
